Is Tunisian Visa Required For Traveling?

The Tunisian visa requirements vary depending on country or territory where you are from and you’re going to. In general, all countries require the passport valid in at least 6 months from the time of visa applying. The evidence of means and return tickets maybe required to cover people’s intended stay.

Travelers must always check the updated information of the Tunisian visa requirements for themselves because the rules do change. Consult the embassies or travel agents for certain if you do not come from one of the following countries and territories.

1.     Australia: Yes, on arrival

2.     Belgium: No, not required

3.     Canada: No, not required

4.     Germany: No, not required

5.     Ireland: No, not required

6.     Netherlands: No, not required

7.     Switzerland: No, not required

8.     United Kingdom: No, not required

9.      TheUnited States of America: No, not required

10. New Zealand: Yes, in advance

11. South Africa: Yes, on arrival

Travelers from all Western European countries, Canada, Ireland, The US and Japan can get a free three-months-visa at the main Tunisian-Libyan border crossing of Ras El Jedir. Travelers from Australia also get three-months-visa at the main border but must pay $6. Travelers from New Zealandmust apply for visa before starting the trip because visa is not available at this border for them.

Don’t forget that it is impossible to enterTunisiawith Israeli stamps in the passport.
