Comoros Visa Requirements

Visas are not required to be issued before arriving in Comoros. The visa application forms are available in the airport but the applicants need to produce certain valid documents before the concerned visa authorities. Tourists need to show the originals of the required documents.

The Comoros visa application requirements include:

  • The properly filled-up visa application form
  • The original passport which holds a validity of 6 months from the date of the application
  • Two passport-sized pictures
  • Onward/Return tickets to and from Comoros
  • Visa fee

The ordinary Comoros visa costs 100 US dollars. The fee can be paid in US dollars, Euros or Comoros Francs.The Comoros visa authorities issue visa for a validity of 2 weeks but the validity can be extended for genuine reasons.

Passports: 

To enter the Comoros islands, nationals referred to in the chart above must present a valid passport on arrival.

Visas: 

Visas for the Comoros are required by all nationals referred to in the chart above, except those continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft without leaving the airport, and holding documents certifying onward/return travel.

Note: Nationals not referred to in the chart are advised to contact the embassy to check visa requirements.

Visa note:

All nationals are issued with a free 24-hour transit visa on arrival in the Comoros islands.

The following day, visitors are required to go to the immigration office in Moroni to change their visa status.

A fee is charged depending on length of stay; nationals are advised to contact the embassy for further information.

Validity: 

One month.

Application to: 

Honorary consulates in London and elsewhere only deal with special visas such as long-term business. All other visas are issued on arrival in the Comoros.
